2009-01-23 Jenny Holzer, one of the leading artists of her generation whose career spans thirty years, is the subject of a major exhibition organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), Chicago, in partnership with the Fondation Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland. Responding to the systematic rape and murder of thousands of women in brutal acts of ‘ethnic cleansing’ during the Bosnian War, Jenny Holzer produced the powerful Lustmord during 1993 and 1994.
